TRIFÀSIC
TRIFÀSIC, for soprano, string orchestra and smartphones, by Miquel Brunet is a three-dimensional look at the most human Ramon Llull, as well as a musical vision away from the historicist image of medieval man (monk, knight, artist or revered spiritual teacher ) which actually wasn't. The son of a Catalan knight of the troops of Jaime I, Llull had risen to be a man of arms and of the world, but he became a Ramon trained in the art of meeting, who practiced with relish the trade of speaking beautifully.
TRIFÀSIC responds more to the need to soundly portray the earthly man unassisted from God, than to his mystical-religious exaltation, which has already been widely publicized.
The title of the work enjoys the semantic ambiguity of the three-phase electrical conduction system (the one that moves and sustains the frenetic activity of today's society) and three phases or aspects of Ramon Llull's life that perhaps have less relevance.
TRIFÀSIC premiered on September 28, 2018 in Manises (Valencia), during the third edition of the Current Music Festival "And now what?". The work was directed by the composer himself and the soprano Quiteria Muñoz, the Orquesta de Cuerda del Ateneo de Manises and Biel Majoral participated.
